View Larger A story went around once about how a young teen who lived in a small, remote village taught himself how to successfully build a working windmill. By doing so, he brought electricity into their homes, powered light at night. And he learned it all out of a book borrowed from a library.
There is a point where experience trumps books but I’m humbly reminded about how much I can learn from a book first in areas where I lack a mentor. My mentors are the authors and artists before me. I’m not trying to build windmills, but I desire to empower myself and fuel my artistic and scientific learning now that I’m officially a post-college bum. :)
